Job summary

Paramount Hotel Dubai is seeking a Reservations Agent to handle high-volume sales and service queries via telephone, fax, and email, delivering courteous, efficient service and accurate bookings.

You will upsell all products and services, process reservations, assist guests with amendments or cancellations, and prepare confirmations, using Opera PMS and Microsoft Office in a multicultural luxury environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Reservations experience in a luxury 5-star hotel.
• Knowledge of Opera PMS is required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle high volumes of sales and service queries via telephone, fax, and email in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Represent the company by following standard operating procedures.
• Proactively sell and upsell all products and services within the property.
• Make reservations based on customer requirements and assist with amendments or cancellations.

Job Purpose:

• Responsible for accurately and impartially handling high volumes of sales and service queries in a courteous and efficient manner. These queries will be handled through different channels such as telephone, fax, and email.
• To represent the company by following the standard operating procedures set by the organization
• Proactively sell and upsell all products and services within the property
• Handle queries through telephone, fax, and email
• Make reservations for customers based on their various requirements
• Provide support to customers who may need to amend or cancel a reservation
• Prepares letters of confirmation
• Maximizing sales, as well assisting guests Internal/External and future customers by offering the highest level of customer service
• Perform all related tasks to the above position i.e.: filing of correspondence, handling customer complaints, checking and updating of related reports, amongst other tasks

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of Reservations experience in a luxury 5-star hotel.
• Previous experience working in a multicultural environment.
• Knowledge of Opera PMS is required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
