Key Responsibilities
BIM & Information Management
- Lead the overall BIM and digital information management strategy for the project.
- Develop, implement, maintain, and periodically update the BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
- Review project/client information requirements and ensure BIM deliverables comply with contractual requirements.
- Establish and monitor BIM workflows in accordance with ISO 19650 principles and project-specific requirements.
- Develop and manage information delivery requirements including MIDP, TIDP, responsibility matrices/RACI, model responsibility matrices, and BIM deliverable schedules, where applicable.
- Establish appropriate BIM standards, modelling procedures, naming conventions, classification systems, model breakdown structures, and information exchange protocols.
- Monitor BIM deliverables against agreed project milestones and information delivery dates.
BIM Coordination
- Lead multidisciplinary BIM coordination between Architecture, Structure, MEP, Interior Design, Medical Equipment, Specialist Systems, Infrastructure, and other project disciplines.
- Manage federated models and ensure correct model positioning, coordinates, levels, grids, and model alignment.
- Establish and manage the project's clash detection and coordination strategy.
- Configure clash tests, tolerances, grouping methodologies, responsibilities, and issue-management workflows.
- Conduct regular model reviews and multidisciplinary coordination sessions.
- Chair BIM coordination meetings and ensure identified issues are assigned, tracked, resolved, verified, and formally closed.
- Coordinate BIM issues with design changes, RFIs, technical submissions, shop drawings, construction requirements, and site conditions.
- Support design and construction teams in resolving complex spatial and multidisciplinary coordination issues.
Model QA/QC & Compliance
- Establish BIM model QA/QC procedures and model-audit requirements.
- Perform regular model health and compliance checks.
- Review models for compliance with agreed LOD/LOI, modelling standards, naming conventions, classification requirements, and information requirements.
- Identify modelling errors, duplicated elements, incorrect coordinates, missing information, warnings, and other model-quality issues.
- Ensure models are suitable for multidisciplinary coordination and intended project uses.
- Maintain BIM compliance records, model audit reports, and corrective-action tracking.
Common Data Environment (CDE)
- Support the establishment, configuration, administration, and governance of the project Common Data Environment (CDE).
- Ensure correct implementation of information workflows, including Work in Progress, Shared, Published/Documentation, and Archived information states, where applicable.
- Manage model/document sharing, approvals, revisions, permissions, and information exchange procedures.
- Ensure project teams follow agreed CDE and document-control workflows.
- Coordinate closely with document control and project information management teams.
Design & Construction Support
- Support project teams during design development, technical design, construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Ensure coordination between design intent models and contractor/construction models.
- Monitor design changes and assess their impact on coordinated models.
- Support constructability reviews and site coordination using BIM models.
- Assist teams in resolving BIM-related RFIs and technical coordination issues.
- Support 4D construction sequencing, 5D quantity/cost integration, digital engineering, and other BIM uses where required by the project.
Asset Information & Handover
- Coordinate BIM requirements for project closeout and digital handover.
- Monitor development of as-built/record models.
- Ensure required asset information is progressively incorporated and validated.
- Support COBie or other structured asset information requirements where applicable.
- Coordinate with the Client/FM/Asset Management teams regarding digital handover requirements.
- Ensure final BIM deliverables meet contractual and client requirements before acceptance.
Reporting & Digital Delivery
- Develop and maintain BIM dashboards and progress reports.
- Report on model status, BIM deliverables, coordination progress, outstanding clashes/issues, and compliance.
- Establish measurable BIM KPIs where required.
- Support data-driven project reporting using Power BI or similar platforms.
- Identify opportunities for BIM automation and process improvement using Dynamo, Python, Power Automate, APIs, or other digital tools, where appropriate.
Team Leadership
- Manage and provide technical direction to BIM Coordinators, BIM Engineers, BIM Modelers, and discipline BIM leads.
- Allocate and monitor BIM-related tasks and deliverables.
- Mentor project team members and promote consistent BIM working practices.
- Provide BIM/CDE training and technical support where required.
- Promote collaboration between design, construction, and project-management teams.
- Drive continuous improvement of BIM processes and digital delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline.
- BIM Management / Information Management qualification or professional certification is advantageous.
- Minimum 10+ years of relevant AEC/BIM experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience working in BIM Manager, Information Manager, Digital Delivery Manager, BIM Lead, or senior BIM coordination roles.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale, complex, multidisciplinary projects.
- GCC/UAE project experience is preferable.
Healthcare / Hospital Experience
Previous experience in BIM management and multidisciplinary coordination on hospital or healthcare projects is highly preferable.
Candidates with experience in technically complex healthcare environments will have an advantage, particularly experience coordinating:

The candidate should understand the importance of high-density MEP coordination and specialist-system interfaces associated with healthcare facilities.
