Job summary

Al Ghurair Group is seeking an experienced BIM Engineer to support BEPs, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure EIR compliance on heavy infra projects in Dubai.

You will develop multidisciplinary BIM models in Revit, perform clash checks, prepare BEP and EIR documents, manage ACC/BIM 360 data, and mentor junior BIM staff to improve project delivery and data quality. This role requires hands-on experience with Navisworks, BIM Collaborate Pro, and standards familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field with BIM exposure.
• Hands-on BIM software experience and a strong understanding of ISO 19650 or equivalent
• Certified BIM professionals preferred with a track record in infrastructure projects.

Job description

• Support the implementation of BIM Execution Plans (BEP) across assigned projects.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to establish BIM requirements and project deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with project‑specific BIM standards, Employer Information Requirements (EIR), and client requirements.
• Contribute to digital engineering initiatives and BIM adoption across the project lifecycle.
• Support the standardization of BIM workflows, templates, and modeling procedures.

OPERATIONAL

• Develop, maintain, and update multidisciplinary BIM models using Autodesk Revit for Substation, Process Plant, and Infrastructure Projects.
• Assist BIM Coordinators and Modelers in model development and technical BIM implementation.
• Perform model reviews and quality checks to ensure compliance with project BIM standards.
• Prepare and maintain BIM Execution Plans (BEP) for assigned projects.
• Prepare, review, and maintain Employer Information Requirement (EIR) documents.
• Manage and maintain project models on Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM 360, and BIM Collaborate Pro platforms.
• Conduct clash detection analysis using Navisworks and other BIM software tools.
• Prepare clash detection and clash resolution reports and track closure of identified issues.
• Facilitate interdisciplinary coordination and support resolution of design conflicts.
• Prepare model checklists and conduct periodic model audits.
• Generate and maintain BIM coordination reports and project documentation.
• Extract and validate Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and material quantities from BIM models as required.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and provide technical BIM support to project teams.
• Ensure all BIM deliverables are completed within project schedules and quality requirements.
• Maintain version control and document management procedures for BIM models and related data.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to BIM Modelers and Junior BIM personnel.
• Support BIM Coordinators in managing project BIM activities.
• Share best practices and lessons learned with project teams.
• Assist in training and onboarding team members on BIM tools, workflows, and standards.
• Promote collaboration among multidisciplinary engineering and design teams.

PRODUCT/PROCESS IMPROVEMENT

• Identify opportunities to improve BIM workflows, model quality, and project delivery efficiency.
• Support the implementation of BIM automation tools, templates, and digital engineering solutions.
• Recommend improvements to clash detection, model coordination, and quantity extraction processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to BIM standards and project execution methodologies.
• Support integration of BIM with project management, construction, and asset management processes.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• Autodesk Certified Professional (Revit) - Preferred.
• Autodesk Navisworks Certification - Preferred.
• BIM Professional Certification (ISO 19650 or equivalent) - Preferred.
• Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) / BIM 360 Training Certification.
• Building Information Modeling (BIM) Management Certification - Advantageous.
• 5-8 years of BIM experience in Engineering, Infrastructure, Industrial, Power, or Construction Projects.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in HV/EHV Substation, Process Plant, Utility, or Infrastructure Projects.
• Hands‑on experience in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), and BIM Collaborate Pro.
• Experience in multidisciplinary BIM coordination and clash management.
• Experience in BOQ extraction and model‑based quantity take‑off processes.
• Familiarity with UAE utility projects and standards is preferred.
