Job summary

Confidential Company in Dubai seeks a BIM Engineer to develop and manage Building Information Models (BIM) throughout the project lifecycle. You will ensure models meet project requirements, design information, construction methodologies and BIM standards, while collaborating with design, engineering, construction planning, QA/QC and project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, MEP Engineering, Construction Management, BIM, or related discipline.
• Typically 3-7 years of relevant BIM experience in construction.
• Experience with main contractor, consultant, or specialist subcontractor preferred.
• UAE/GCC construction experience highly desirable.
• Experience with major building, infrastructure, commercial, residential, hospitality, or mixed-use projects is an advantage.

The BIM Engineer is responsible for developing coordinating managing and maintaining Building Information Models BIM throughout the project lifecycle The role ensures that BIM models are accurately developed in accordance with project requirements design information construction methodologies and the company s BIM standards The BIM Engineer works closely with design engineering construction planning QA QC and project teams to improve coordination constructability information management and project delivery

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate 3D BIM models based on approved drawings and design information
• Prepare and update architectural structural civil or MEP models as applicable to the project
• Maintain model integrity accuracy naming conventions parameters and data requirements
• Develop model content families components and project-specific BIM information where required
• Update models to reflect approved design changes and construction progress
• Coordinate BIM models between architectural structural civil and MEP disciplines
• Conduct clash detection and coordination reviews to identify design and construction conflicts
• Prepare clash reports and coordinate with relevant disciplines to resolve identified issues
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings with consultants subcontractors and project teams
• Track clash resolution and ensure agreed actions are incorporated into the relevant models
• Support constructability reviews and identify potential issues before construction
• Provide BIM support to site teams during construction
• Assist engineers and construction teams in interpreting BIM models and coordinated drawings
• Develop model-based information to support construction sequencing and installation activities
• Assist with setting-out and dimensional coordination where required
• Update BIM models based on approved site changes and actual construction conditions
• Support the preparation of as-built BIM models
• Support 4D BIM simulations for construction sequencing and progress monitoring
• Support 5D BIM processes and cost-related model information
• Assist in identifying opportunities to improve productivity cost control and construction planning
• Prepare and maintain BIM models drawings schedules reports and coordination documents
• Ensure compliance with applicable ISO 19650 principles and project-specific BIM requirements
• Support implementation of the company s BIM standards workflows templates and procedures
• Identify opportunities to improve BIM processes and information management
• Coordinate with BIM Managers Technical Managers Design Managers Project Managers Engineers and Site Teams
• Liaise with consultants specialist subcontractors suppliers and other project stakeholders
• Attend design and BIM coordination meetings

Qualifications

• Typically 3-7 years of relevant BIM experience in the construction industry.
• Experience working with a main contractor, consultant, or specialist subcontractor is preferred.
• UAE/GCC construction experience is highly desirable.
• Experience with major building, infrastructure, commercial, residential, hospitality, or mixed-use projects is an advantage.
• Candidates with experience in multidisciplinary BIM coordination will be preferred.
