Position Overview

DP World Dubai is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Billing Executive to support the finance and operations teams by ensuring accurate invoicing, reconciliation, and revenue assurance across terminal and logistics activities. The role involves verifying vessel-related billing, preparing supplementary invoices, handling aluminum and terminal billing, and coordinating with multiple departments to ensure accuracy and compliance with company procedures. This position is critical to maintaining financial integrity, minimizing revenue leakage, and supporting efficient trade operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive vessel files from the output section post-completion and verify all related charges according to CTMS and invoice summaries.
• Review and confirm accuracy of billing details, identifying discrepancies or missing charges, and prepare supplementary invoices where necessary.
• Raise manual invoices for any non‑automated billing activities and ensure entries are accurately updated in the CTMS system.
• Verify all invoices generated against operational data to ensure revenue completeness and prevent revenue loss.
• Handle invoice disputes raised by agents, conduct verification, and escalation unresolved cases to the supervisor for review.
• Prepare billing advice sheets covering cargo details, handling charges, equipment usage, and related billable services.
• Process supplementary manifests and forward final invoices to Finance and respective agents for settlement.
• Address agent and consignee queries professionally and ensure accurate verification of supplier (stevedoring) invoices before payment.
• Manage aluminum billing activities including reports on handling, storage, lashing, overtime, and import charges.
• Coordinate with operations for charge confirmation, update system entries, and maintain proper documentation for audit reference.
• Oversee billing for transportation and distribution activities including ray shifting, weighbridge shifting, cargo transfers, detention charges, and inter‑terminal movements.
• Support supervisors with data consolidation, reporting, and archival of billing documentation.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in billing, finance, or accounting within the logistics, shipping, or port industry.
• Proficiency in ERP or billing systems (CTMS experience preferred).
• Strong analytical, numerical, and reconciliation skills.
• Ability to work with large volumes of data and maintain high accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate across departments.
• Knowledge of VAT and standard invoicing procedures.
• Familiarity with port operations, cargo handling, and logistics processes is an advantage.
