Job summary

Fairmont Ajman is seeking a Restaurant Hostess to be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a welcoming dining experience. The role requires fluency in Arabic to assist Arabic-speaking guests, manage reservations, and coordinate seating arrangements.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, managing bookings, escorting to tables, and maintaining the host area’s presentation. A high level of customer service and flexibility to work shifts is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality training preferred.
• Fluency in Arabic and English (speaking and writing).
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Professional, friendly demeanor and the ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival.
• Manage the reservation system, including booking, confirming, and updating reservations.
• Organize seating arrangements to ensure smooth guest flow and service efficiency.
• Communicate wait times to guests and manage expectations during busy periods.
• Escort guests to tables and provide menus, including sharing information about specials and restaurant offerings.
• Handle guest inquiries and requests professionally, particularly for Arabic-speaking guests.
• Coordinate with the service team to ensure tables are prepared and ready for guests.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and presentation of the host stand, lobby, and dining area.
• Support guest feedback collection and communicate issues to the Restaurant Manager.
• Uphold professional grooming and appearance in line with hotel standards.
• Perform other tasks as assigned to support restaurant operations.
