Job summary

Fairmont Ajman, a beachfront 5-star hotel in Ajman, is hiring a Restaurant Hostess. The role is the first point of contact, requiring fluency in Arabic to assist Arabic-speaking guests, manage reservations, and coordinate seating to ensure a smooth dining experience.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year in a similar role, strong customer service skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting. This on-site position offers opportunities to grow within the Accor network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality training preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or upscale restaurant.
• Fluency in Arabic and English (speaking and writing); additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests upon arrival.
• Manage the reservation system, including booking, confirming, and updating reservations.
• Organize seating arrangements to ensure smooth guest flow and service efficiency.
• Communicate wait times to guests and manage expectations during busy periods.
• Escort guests to tables and provide menus, including sharing information about specials and restaurant offerings.
• Handle guest inquiries and requests professionally, particularly for Arabic-speaking guests.
• Coordinate with the service team to ensure tables are prepared and ready for guests.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and presentation of the host stand, lobby, and dining area.
• Support guest feedback collection and communicate issues to the Restaurant Manager.
• Uphold professional grooming and appearance in line with hotel standards.
• Perform other tasks as assigned to support restaurant operations.
