Job summary

Desert Islands Resort & Spa by Anantara, part of Minor International, seeks a courteous Bellman to greet guests and assist with luggage at check-in and check-out.

You will escort guests to rooms, share information on hotel facilities and local attractions, and coordinate with Front Office, Concierge, and Housekeeping to deliver memorable service.

Fluency in English is required; other languages are a plus, and flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays is expected.

Key Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome and greet guests upon arrival and departure.
• Assist guests with luggage during check-in, check-out, and room changes.
• Escort guests to their rooms and provide basic information about hotel facilities and services.
• Handle and store guest luggage safely and accurately.
• Assist with arranging taxis and transportation when required.
• Deliver guest items, messages, parcels, and other requested materials promptly.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the hotel entrance, lobby, and luggage storage areas.
• Provide guests with information about hotel facilities, restaurants, local attractions, and transportation.
• Coordinate closely with Front Office, Concierge, Housekeeping, and other departments to fulfil guest requests.
• Handle guest requests and concerns courteously and escape issues when necessary.
• Maintain professional grooming, appearance, and behaviour at all times.
• Follow hotel safety, security, and guest confidentiality procedures.
• Support the Front Office team in creating memorable and personalized guest experiences.

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience as a Bellman or in a guest-facing hotel role is preferred.
• Friendly, energetic, and service-oriented personality.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physically fit and able to handle guest luggage safely.
• Good knowledge of Dubai and local attractions is an advantage.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
