Job summary

RAFFLES The Palm Dubai is seeking a Bartender to deliver exceptional beverage service in a luxury resort environment. You will prepare, present and serve cocktails and beverages, engage guests with attentive hospitality, and maintain the bar area to the highest standards.

Responsibilities include setting up the bar, taking orders, managing stock, and ensuring a seamless guest experience while upholding brand standards. A minimum of two years in F&B and strong English communication are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years food and beverage experience with detailed bar knowledge.
• Good communication and customer contact skills; well-presented and groomed.

Responsibilities

• Read daily events and VIP arrivals to prepare appropriately.
• Set up bar at opening with liquor, glassware, juices and garnishes.
• Take orders, process drinks and ensure accuracy for guests and staff.
• Maintain bar stock levels and organize requisitions for F&B items.
• Keep bar area clean, organized and safe; assist with cash handling according to procedures.

We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Raffles The Palm as we are currently looking for a Bartender reporting to the F amp B Supervisor The Bartender is responsible for providing exceptional beverage service to our guests ensuring that every experience is seamless attentive and personalized The role includes preparing and serving beverages taking orders engaging with guests maintaining the bar area and equipment managing stock levels and ensuring all beverages are presented to the highest standards At Raffles the Bartender is more than a beverage service professional This role is about creating memorable experiences through genuine hospitality creativity attention to detail and expert beverage knowledge The Bartender is professional attentive and proactive anticipating guest needs and responding efficiently to requests while maintaining the exceptional service standards warmth and sophistication that define the Raffles experience

KEY ROLES amp RESPONSIBILITIES

Read daily events to be aware of any VIP arrivals Must have a complete working knowledge of bar items ingredients and preparationEnsure all details of service are performed properly for every guestTo understand and adhere to Beverage Department Standard Operating ProceduresChange ashtrays serve cigarettes and wipe down bar areaCarry trays bus and reset tables with linen china glass and silverAscertain guest satisfaction and handle any problem which may arise informing a manager of the problem and how it was resolvedWhen possible greet regular guests by name and note and serve preferences accordinglyProfessionally set up bar at the start of opening including liquor icing glassware juices and garnishesProcess drink orders in proper calling order both from guests directly and from service staff checking for correct order and managing billing quickly and efficientlyMake all cocktails in accordance with Hotel s standard beverage manualReceive and check liquor against previous shift s requisitionsAttempt to limit problems and liability related to customers excessive drinkingServe snacks or food items to customers seated at the barOrganize requisition pick up and verification for F amp B items used in the bar areasEnsure that the bar is fully stocked and all side opening and closing duties are completedSlice and pit fruit for garnishing drinksArrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displaysKeep the bar area neat and tidy at all times regularly clearing dishes and glasswareManage security in the work area and at no time to leave the bar area unless properly relieved by a colleagueAssist with cleanup - mopping floors removal of cans and bottles general cleaning of rails and counters removal of melting ice in binsMaintain complete knowledge of all F amp B services outlets hotel services featuresAble to handle cash following established and proper Accounting procedures Minimum 2 years food and beverage experience with detailed bar knowledgePrevious public contact and/or cashiering experienceSecondary school educationReading, writing and oral proficiency in the English languageTeam player with a creative and outgoing personalityMust be well-presented and professionally groomed at all timesGood communication and customer contact skills; good problem resolution skillsGood Food and Beverage product knowledge. A good knowledge of beverage service styles and techniques, beverage preparation and specialized beverage orders of service is required. A good knowledge of all hard liquor, wines, mixes/cocktails.
