Job summary

Raffles Dubai is seeking a Restaurant Hostess to welcome guests at Azur and Solo Italian Restaurants, manage reservations, and control guest flow to optimise turnover. You will coordinate with the supervisor and outlet trainers to uphold service standards.

The role requires English proficiency, a presentable appearance, and hospitality experience (F&B). On-site position in Dubai with opportunities to support other outlets during peak times.

Responsibilities

Job Description

We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Raffles Duba i as our new Restaurant Hostess to provide an appropriate welcome at Azur Restaurant and Solo Italian Restaurant for guests to handle table reservations and effectively control the flow of guests This position reports to Supervisor

KEY ROLES amp RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide a warm and friendly welcome leading guests and seating them at their table
• Take telephone bookings and maintain a clear and organized reservations
• Assist in the set-up of tables and displays
• Maintain and update guest database
• To ensure full knowledge and understanding of LQA and Hotel Standards and to implement them in all interactions
• Be attentive to guests and resolve their complaints where possible reporting all incidents to Supervisor Assistant Manager Manager
• To undertake service training lead by the outlet Departmental Trainer Supervisor Assistant Manager Manager to ensure full capability in understanding and executing service standards
• To ensure that all reports related to the outlet are well maintained and completed as per schedule and in a timely manner
• To support the service team during times of need crunch in service in the following areas but not limited to section holding coffee station back area and mis en place etc
• Maintain cleanliness of hostess station and surrounding areas as well as of all menus
• Maintain good working relationship with own colleagues and all other departments
• Correct preparation of all necessary operational material in the back office
• Learn safety sanitation and hygiene policies
• Present check to guests and perform cashiering function if needed
• Effectively control guest flow in the restaurant ensuring maximum turnover
• Train staff in hostess standards
• Ensure the restaurant is ready to receive guests prior to opening and that both staff and tables are ready in line with opening standards
• Carry out any other duties as and when assigned by the Management of the Hotel
• Assist other Food amp Beverage Outlets in their operations within peak times when needed
