Job summary

One&Only One Za’abeel in Dubai is seeking a Barista to assist the bar team in planning, organizing and directing bar operations to deliver high-quality beverages and consistent service in line with brand standards.

You will manage coffee stocks, contribute to the menu, stay ahead of trends, train staff, and help achieve sales forecasts while upholding food safety and exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in a similar role in a luxury hotel or restaurant.
• Understand the origin of coffee and how to categorize as per industry grading models.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Willing to work flexible hours.
• Experience MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, POS systems, Restaurant Reservations Systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all coffees are stored, presented and served to the required standards.
• Assist in creating, maintaining and developing all coffee stocks, sales data and coffee menu.
• Regularly review the coffee offering in line with current trends and ensure that the list appeals to a diverse customer base.
• Support Outlet Managers and staff in driving the sales of coffees.
• Share knowledge and encourage the team to develop their coffee knowledge further through regular training sessions.
• Responsible for assisting and ensuring that the beverage sales forecasted for the outlet are met.
• Gather guest preferences and record it in seven-rooms (restaurant reservations system) under the "Coffee" segment/tag.
• Contribute to a positive food safety culture and comply with the O&O FSMS & Codex HACCP and Dubai Municipality food safety requirements.
• Ensure honesty and integrity in the way tasks are executed and records maintained.
• Report immediately to the immediate supervisor on any concerns that may be observed or realized which may affect food safety.
• Maintain an interest in food safety matters, actively participate in food safety training and be aware of all the control measures and record keeping for which they are directly responsible.
• Any other duties as assigned

About The Role

Assist the bar team to plan, organize and direct all processes of the Bar operations to ensures the bar provides quality beverages in a clean and tidy workspace and deliver consistent service in line with the One&Only One Za’abeel Standard Opening Procedures and achieves maximum revenue and profit in line with the budget and forecast.

• Liaise with L&D department to provide structured content for wider trainings
• Responsible for assisting and ensuring that the beverage sales forecasted for the outlet are met
• Gather guest preferences and record it in seven-rooms (restaurant reservations system) under the "Coffee" segment/tag
• Contribute to a positive food safety culture and comply with the O&O FSMS & Codex HACCP and Dubai Municipality food safety requirements.

About You

In-depth theoretical knowledge regarding regionality, cultivation, history, ceremonies, steeping and temperatures.

• Able to manage inventory accurately and efficiently
