Job summary

Deeplight is seeking an exceptionally skilled Data Modelling & Engineering Lead to own enterprise data models and engineering standards across major banking engagements in Dubai. You will lead, govern, and articulate data architecture decisions, bridging conceptual structures to production-grade pipelines.

You will direct senior data engineers, oversee vendor builds, and validate progress for SteerCo presentations, while ensuring rigorous data quality and real-time performance in complex

Qualifications

• Proven data modelling and engineering leadership in complex environments.
• Experience modelling data for Retail Banking and enterprise analytics.
• Strong ability to define canonical data models, glossaries, and data dictionaries.
• Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication for executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise data models, schemas, and business glossaries.
• Set engineering standards for pipelines, testing, CI/CD, and environments.
• Direct senior data engineers within project squads to ensure consistency.
• Audit vendor codebases and data artifacts before production release.
• Review SteerCo packs and verify vendor claims and delivery velocity.
• Validate estimates and perform root-cause analysis for delays.
