Job summary

Deeplight AI seeks an expert Data Modelling & Engineering Lead to own enterprise data models, glossaries, and pipeline quality across Dubai banking engagements. You will govern vendors, drive engineering rigor, and present progress to Sr. leadership.

You will direct senior data engineers, ensure consistent component usage, and align with project squads on architectural standards, data consistency, and real-time data architectures.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on data engineering and modelling experience.
• 4+ years leading engineering standards or platform teams in consultancies or banks.
• Solid background modelling data for Retail Banking (RBG).
• Experience presenting to CTOs and executives.

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise data models, glossaries, and semantic consistency across streams.
• Set platform and pipeline standards including CI/CD and testing.
• Direct senior data engineers to ensure adoption of shared components and patterns.
• Audit vendor codebases and validate data artifacts before production release.
• Review SteerCo packs and verify vendor progress and delivery velocity.
• Assess project delays and verify root causes in code or environment.
