Job summary

Dicetek LLC in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer to maintain production banking applications, monitor performance, and resolve incidents in a 24x7 environment. You will troubleshoot Oracle SQL/PLSQL and MS SQL Server issues, manage data integration, ETL processes, and API/web services in Azure/hybrid setups.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of production application support experience within banking or financial services.
• Experience supporting collateral management, lending, credit risk or regulatory reporting applications.
• Practical experience working in a 24x7 production support environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle databases and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL development, analysis and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of ETL processing, data integration, reconciliation and troubleshooting.
• Experience with REST APIs, SOAP web services and SFTP file transfers.
• Experience supporting applications hosted on Microsoft Azure or hybrid environments.
• Understanding of credit origination and collateral management processes.
• Experience with application monitoring, incident management and batch processing support.
• Familiarity with ITIL service management practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide production support for business-critical banking and financial applications.
• Monitor application availability, operational performance and scheduled processing activities.
• Investigate and troubleshoot application incidents, system errors and processing failures.
• Support applications operating in 24x7 banking production environments.
• Coordinate with relevant technical and business teams to investigate and resolve application issues.
• Assist with operational support activities involving credit origination, lending, collateral management and regulatory reporting applications.
• Perform database analysis and troubleshooting using Oracle SQL/PLSQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Investigate database-related application errors, data discrepancies and processing failures.
• Develop and execute SQL and PL/SQL queries for data analysis, validation and troubleshooting.
• Support database-related investigation of application incidents and integration issues.
• Use SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and PL/SQL tools for database support activities.
• Support ETL processes, data integration workflows and scheduled batch processing.
• Investigate data extraction, transformation and loading failures.
• Perform data reconciliation and troubleshoot inconsistencies between integrated systems.
• Support application interfaces using REST and SOAP web services.
• Investigate API integration issues and data exchange failures.
• Support SFTP-based file transfers and troubleshoot file processing problems.
• Work with integration and application teams to identify and resolve data flow issues.
• Banking Application Support
• Support applications associated with credit origination and lending processes.
• Apply knowledge of collateral management and collateral lifecycle processes when investigating application issues.
• Support technical operations involving credit risk and regulatory reporting applications.
• Investigate application and data processing issues affecting banking operations.
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to clarify application behaviour and operational requirements.
• Cloud and Infrastructure Support
• Support applications hosted on Microsoft Azure and hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Investigate application issues involving cloud-hosted services and on-premises integrations.
• Work with Windows Server and Internet Information Services (IIS) environments.
• Assist with troubleshooting application connectivity, integration and hosting-related issues.
• Coordinate with infrastructure and cloud support teams when resolving technical incidents.
• Incident and Change Management
• Follow ITIL-based processes for Incident, Problem, Change and Release Management.
• Record, investigate and track production incidents through established service management tools.
• Support problem investigation and root-cause analysis of recurring application issues.
• Participate in change and release support activities affecting production applications.
• Maintain accurate incident records, troubleshooting documentation and operational updates.
• Use service management and collaboration tools to coordinate issue resolution.
