Job summary

The role requires 1-3 years of automotive sales experience and a proven ability to close deals. You will coordinate with finance and deliver outstanding customer service, aiming for repeat business and referrals.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in automotive sales.
• Proven experience as a Sales Executive or similar role within the automotive industry.
• Sales certifications or recognised motor industry qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage with potential customers to understand their automotive needs, provide information about available vehicles, and offer suitable options to generate sales.
• Utilise persuasive selling techniques to close deals and achieve or exceed sales targets.
• Provide exceptional customer service by promptly responding to inquiries, addressing concerns, and providing accurate information about vehicles, pricing, financing options, and promotions.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to ensure repeat business and referrals.
• Stay up to date with the latest automotive industry trends, features, and specifications of the vehicles in the dealership's inventory.
• Demonstrate comprehensive product knowledge to assist customers in making informed purchase decisions.
• Guide customers through the entire sales process.
• Efficiently handle paperwork, negotiate pricing, arrange test drives, and coordinate with other departments such as finance and insurance to ensure a smooth and seamless sales experience.
• Actively seek out potential customers through various channels, including referrals, online platforms, and community networking events.
• Follow up on leads and convert them into sales opportunities.
• Conduct market research to identify potential target segments, understand customer preferences, and stay informed about competitor activities.
• Utilise market insights to develop sales strategies and identify opportunities for growth.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and vehicle inventory.
• Prepare reports on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback to evaluate effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
• Continuously enhance knowledge and skills through training programs, workshops, and self-study to stay updated on automotive industry advancements, sales techniques, and dealership policies.
• Uphold company values throughout business practices and utilise sound judgment in decision making.
• Any other additional duties as may be required by management based on needs of the business.
