Job summary

ACCA Careers in Dubai seeks a proactive and detail‑oriented Accountant to support daily accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, and regulatory compliance. The role requires experience in automotive leasing or rental sectors and VAT knowledge. You will maintain records, prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, and assist with financial reporting and budgeting. Car rental experience is highly regarded.

Location: Al Quoz, Dubai, UAE. Must have Car rental experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 3-6 years of accounting experience.
• Experience within automotive, leasing, rental, trading, or service industries is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP/accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Knowledge of VAT regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or CA will be considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and post financial transactions to the general ledger.
• Prepare journal entries and ensure proper accounting documentation.
• Perform bank, intercompany, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Process and monitor accounts payable transactions and supplier payments.
• Support accounts receivable activities and coordinate with stakeholders on outstanding balances when required.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare management reports and support the preparation of financial statements.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring.
• Prepare VAT schedules and support tax compliance activities.
• Liaise with auditors and provide supporting documentation during audits.
• Monitor financial controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required by management.
