Job summary

athGADLANG is seeking a proactive Accountant to support daily accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations and regulatory compliance. You will maintain accurate records, assist with month-end closings, and help prepare financial statements.

Experience in automotive, dealership, vehicle rental or leasing sectors is highly regarded. The role focuses on general ledger posting, journal entries, reconciliations, supplier payments, budgeting, VAT schedules and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3-6 years of accounting experience preferably in automotive, leasing, rental or service sectors.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP/accounting software and advanced Excel.
• Knowledge of VAT regulations and compliance.
• ACCA, CPA, CMA or CA are advantageous.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accountant to support daily accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with month-end closing activities, and ensuring the timely preparation of financial reports. Experience within the automotive, dealership, vehicle rental, or leasing sectors will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and post financial transactions to the general ledger.
• Prepare journal entries and ensure proper accounting documentation.
• Perform bank, intercompany, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Process and monitor accounts payable transactions and supplier payments.
• Support accounts receivable activities and coordinate with stakeholders on outstanding balances when required.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare management reports and support the preparation of financial statements.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring.
• Prepare VAT schedules and support tax compliance activities.
• Liaise with auditors and provide supporting documentation during audits.
• Monitor financial controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required by management.

Requirements
