Job summary

athGADLANG is seeking an Accountant to support daily accounting operations, month-end close, and financial reporting in Dubai. Experience in automotive, leasing, or rental sectors is highly regarded, with a focus on VAT compliance and robust Excel/ERP usage.

The role involves maintaining ledgers, reconciliations, budgeting support, and coordination with auditors. On-site position based in Al Quoz, Dubai, UAE with comprehensive reporting duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 3-6 years of accounting experience.
• Experience within automotive, leasing, rental, trading, or service industries is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP/accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Knowledge of VAT regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or CA will be considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and post financial transactions to the general ledger.
• Prepare journal entries and ensure proper accounting documentation.
• Perform bank, intercompany, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Process and monitor accounts payable transactions and supplier payments.
• Support accounts receivable activities and coordinate with stakeholders on outstanding balances when required.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare management reports and support the preparation of financial statements.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring.
• Prepare VAT schedules and support tax compliance activities.
• Liaise with auditors and provide supporting documentation during audits.
• Monitor financial controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required by management.
