Job summary

Confidential Company in Dubai seeks a detail-oriented General Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting, maintain ledgers, and support financial performance in our automotive operations.

The role requires 3–4 years UAE experience, a Master’s degree in Accountancy or CA/ACCA, strong Excel skills, and fluency in English. You will handle VAT, month-end close, and audits, contributing to accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Requires 3-4 years UAE experience as General Accountant.
• Automotive industry experience is highly preferred.
• Master's in Accountancy or CA/ACCA qualification is required.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and VAT regulations.
• Proficient in MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting transactions and maintain the general ledger.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly financial reports.
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Perform bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring.
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare VAT returns and ensure UAE tax compliance.
• Monitor inventory and vehicle-related accounting transactions.
• Coordinate with internal departments on financial matters.
• Support external auditors during audits and reviews.
• Ensure accuracy of financial data and proper documentation of transactions.
• Prepare management reports and assist in budgeting.
