  • Experience in Finance, Audit, Financial Controlling, or Store Operations Finance within Retail, FMCG, hypermarkets, supermarkets, or Consumer Goods environments.
  • Experience with inventory accounting, stock reconciliation, shrinkage control, cash governance, fixed assets, and operational financial controls.
  • Familiarity with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or comparable enterprise systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel capability and strong financial analysis skills.
  • Sound problem-solving, clear communication, and coordination with finance and operational stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor stock movement across stores and warehouses and investigate unusual inventory trends or control exceptions.
  • Track waste and shrinkage performance, identify financial exposure, and support corrective measures to reduce stock losses.
  • Coordinate periodic stock audits and ensure inventory discrepancies are investigated and reconciled accurately.
  • Verify item costs, margins, adjustments, and inventory-related transactions to maintain reliable financial records.
  • Review pending goods receipt notes and follow unresolved GRNs through to appropriate completion.
  • Monitor supplier invoicing processes and coordinate with relevant teams to resolve transaction or documentation issues.
  • Strengthen inventory controls by identifying recurring reconciliation problems, process weaknesses, and loss risks.
  • Manage fixed asset accounting processes covering capitalization, asset registration, tracking, transfers, and write-offs.
  • Ensure fixed asset records remain aligned with operational assets across stores and warehouses.
  • Oversee cash handling controls and review tender reconciliations for accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor petty cash utilization and perform cash spot checks as required by internal control procedures.
  • Investigate cash or tender discrepancies and coordinate timely resolution with responsible stakeholders.
  • Review store and warehouse operating expenses against budgets and highlight significant deviations.
  • Support cost-control initiatives by providing financial analysis of operational expenditure and spending patterns.
  • Work with Store Operations, Warehousing, Supply Chain, Accounts Payable, and other finance teams to improve process compliance.
  • Use ERP and financial reporting systems to analyze transactions, inventory positions, costs, and control exceptions.
  • Prepare financial and operational analysis that supports management decisions and stronger governance.
