Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor preventive and reactive maintenance for HVAC, chiller, mechanical, plumbing, and electro-mechanical systems.
• Oversee maintenance by service providers and in-house teams to meet standards and KPIs.
• Perform site inspections and audits; coordinate corrective actions with providers.
• Monitor alarms, requests, and call-outs; ensure timely resolution.
• Troubleshoot HVAC and chiller systems including CRAH/CRAC/DX units.
• Maintain asset registers, spare capacity records, and documentation.
• Review data, reports, and KPI performance; prepare technical reports.
• Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, suppliers, and management to minimize disruptions.

We are looking for an experienced Associate Engineer – Air Conditioning & Mechanical to support facilities maintenance operations in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in HVAC and chiller systems, mechanical and plumbing systems, and total facilities management, with experience monitoring maintenance contractors, conducting site audits, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring compliance with operational and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage preventive and reactive maintenance activities for air conditioning, chiller, mechanical, plumbing, and electro-mechanical systems.
• Oversee maintenance activities carried out by service providers, contractors, and in-house teams to ensure compliance with established standards and KPIs.
• Perform site inspections and technical audits, identify deficiencies, and coordinate corrective actions with service providers.
• Monitor pending alarms, maintenance requests, and equipment call-outs, ensuring timely resolution.
• Troubleshoot HVAC and chiller systems, including CRAH, CRAC, DX units, and related equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance, efficiency, capacity, and asset lifecycle.
• Maintain and update equipment asset registers, spare capacity records, and maintenance documentation.
• Review operational data, maintenance reports, and KPI performance, preparing routine and special technical reports.
• Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, suppliers, and management to resolve technical issues and minimize service disruptions.
• Ensure maintenance quality, safety, and operational procedures are followed in accordance with applicable engineering and facilities management standards.
• Coordinate the availability and utilization of spare parts, tools, test equipment, and other maintenance resources.

Salary: Up to AED 8,000 per month (All-inclusive)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Air Conditioning, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 8–12 years of relevant experience in engineering services, HVAC maintenance, and Total Facilities Management (TFM).
• Strong hands-on technical knowledge of:
• HVAC and chiller system operation and maintenance.
• CRAH, CRAC, DX units, and associated HVAC equipment.
• HVAC drawings, troubleshooting, and fault diagnosis.
• Mechanical, plumbing, and electro-mechanical systems.
• Brazing and gas welding related to air-conditioning works.
• Experience managing maintenance contractors, service providers, and technical teams.
• Strong reporting, operational analysis, and performance monitoring skills.
• Knowledge of engineering standards, manufacturers' manuals, and facilities management procedures.
• Valid UAE driving licence is mandatory.
• Knowledge of IBM Maximo or similar maintenance management software is an advantage.
• OEM training or relevant technical certifications would be an added advantage.

Compensation

• The maximum salary budget for this position is AED 8,000 per month, all-inclusive. Candidates should be comfortable with the offered compensation.
