First chance SP LLC in the UAE is seeking an experienced Senior AC Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair air conditioning and HVAC systems across residential, commercial, and industrial facilities.

You will diagnose complex faults, supervise junior technicians, and ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and timely completion of maintenance tasks. Diploma/ITI in HVAC and 5+ years UAE experience preferred.

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Senior AC Technician to join our team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing air conditioning and HVAC systems in residential, commercial, and industrial facilities. The candidate should have strong technical knowledge of cooling systems, electrical components, and refrigeration principles, along with the ability to diagnose complex faults and ensure efficient system performance. The role also involves guiding junior technicians, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring all maintenance activities are completed efficiently and on time.

Key Responsibilities

1. Install, inspect, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems, including split ACs, package units, ducted systems, and central air conditioning systems.
2. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration-related faults in HVAC equipment.
3. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.
4. Check refrigerant levels, identify leaks, and carry out refrigerant charging in accordance with safety and environmental regulations.
5. Inspect compressors, condensers, evaporators, thermostats, fans, motors, filters, and other AC components.
6. Read and interpret HVAC drawings, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and equipment specifications.
7. Test electrical circuits, control panels, capacitors, contactors, relays, and other electrical components.
8. Conduct performance testing and ensure air conditioning systems operate efficiently and maintain the required temperature.
9. Supervise and guide junior AC technicians and helpers during installation, maintenance, and repair activities.
10. Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and carry out effective repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
11. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, spare parts used, and equipment service history.
12. Ensure compliance with company procedures, occupational health and safety standards, and applicable UAE regulations.
13. Identify recurring technical issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions to prevent future breakdowns.
14. Coordinate with supervisors, facility management teams, and other maintenance personnel to complete assigned tasks.
15. Maintain tools, testing equipment, and work areas in good condition while ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment.

Requirements

1. Diploma, ITI, or technical certification in HVAC, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in AC maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and repair, preferably in the UAE.
3. Strong practical knowledge of split ACs, ducted units, package units, and central HVAC systems.
4. Proven ability to diagnose and repair complex refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical faults.
5. Good understanding of refrigeration cycles, refrigerants, compressors, cooling coils, thermostats, and HVAC control systems.
6. Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, HVAC drawings, and technical documentation.
7. Experience in preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, and HVAC system performance testing.
8. Previous experience guiding junior technicians and coordinating maintenance activities.
9. Knowledge of HVAC safety procedures, refrigerant handling practices, and relevant environmental standards.
10. Ability to use HVAC diagnostic instruments, including multimeters, manifold gauges, and temperature-measuring equipment.
11. Good problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and time-management skills.
12. Physically fit and capable of working in plant rooms, rooftops, and other maintenance environments.
13. Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, or emergency call-outs when required.
14. UAE driving licence is an advantage.
15. Candidates currently residing in the UAE with relevant HVAC experience will be preferred.
