Job summary

Sheraton Grand Hotel, Dubai is seeking an Associate Dining Attendant to assist in the day-to-day operations of the staff cafeteria, ensuring food safety and hygiene standards before, during, and after service. You will monitor premises for maintenance needs and report them to the supervisor.

Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, conducting daily inspections, assisting with health and sanitation records, and providing friendly service to associates.

• Support daily cafeteria operations and complete tasks efficiently per hotel standards.
• Handle routine associate requests and help during supervisor absences.

Job description

As an associate Dining Attendant, assist in the day-to-day operations of the staff cafeteria while monitoring food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards before, during, and after operations. Check all cafeteria premises regularly to identify any maintenance requirements and report them to the supervisor for timely action.

• Maintain the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall appearance of the associate cafeteria and related areas, ensuring compliance with hotel hygiene standards at all times.
• Conduct daily inspections of the cafeteria premises and report any hygiene, maintenance, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date health, safety, and sanitation records as required.
• Provide friendly and professional assistance to associates, addressing their requests and concerns in a timely manner.
• Prepare and maintain the cafeteria mise en place, ensuring all areas are organized and ready for service.
• Monitor inventory levels of cafeteria supplies and store items, ensuring adequate stock availability while minimizing overstocking and wastage.
• Check food products regularly for quality and expiry dates, strictly adhering to the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) inventory management system.
• Report food shortages, damaged items, and expired products to the supervisor promptly.
• Support the daily operation of the associate cafeteria by completing assigned tasks efficiently and in accordance with hotel standards.
• Handle routine associate requests and provide operational support during the supervisor’s absence.
• Ensure all cafeteria equipment, utensils, and service areas are clean, organized, and maintained in good working condition.
• Follow all hotel policies, health and safety regulations, and food handling procedures to provide a safe and pleasant dining environment for associates.

• Must have good communication skills in English.

• Must be able to work for extra hours if required.
