Job summary

Salayel Hospitality in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Security Manager to oversee on-site security for employees and contractors, coordinating with third-party teams and government entities to ensure safety and regulatory compliance. The role focuses on implementing security strategies, staff training, and incident reporting.

The candidate will liaise with department heads, manage emergency response, and maintain access control across operations.

Qualifications

• University degree is required.
• Military background is a plus.
• SIRA certifications (Security Industry Regulatory Authority) and DPS certifications (Department of Protective System) are mandatory.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in 5-star luxury hotels.

Responsibilities

• Direct third-party security teams and coordinate with Department Heads to ensure safety procedures.
• Organize and supervise property patrolling to deliver a safe client experience.
• Liaise with government and law enforcement agencies as necessary.
• Prepare incident reports and ensure proper follow-up of any allegations or violations.
• Plan and deliver regular employee security awareness training.
• Respond to emergencies including medical, fire, and security incidents following established procedures.
• Maintain security listings, gate passes, and ID documents and ensure readiness for deployment on request.

Job Purpose

Provide support in managing on-site security of all employees, its contractors, on-site security with military and / or government entities. Directs Third party security team and works with Department Heads to deliver a safe client experience while ensuring compliance with local safety legislation and emergency procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement the Security team’s innovative strategy and business objectives.
• Monitor and overview the Third Party Security team’s innovative strategy and business objectives.
• Responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of third party’s security team
• Work with Department Heads to confirm all staff understands security procedures
• Organizing patrolling of the property to deliver a safe client experience.
• Liaise with government and law enforcement agencies as necessary
• Organize patrolling of all boundary areas, offices, storage areas, public areas, and function rooms
• Provide assistance and advice to other departments in relation to security
• Prepare incident reports and ensure all allegations are properly followed
• Liaise with Departmental Heads to ensure everyone is aware of their security responsibilities
• Plan, deliver and facilitate regular employee awareness training
• Assist in emergency management and contingency planning.
• Respond to medical emergencies, bomb threats, fire alarms, or intrusion alarms, following emergency response procedures.
• Prepare reports or make presentations on internal investigations, losses, or violations of regulations, policies and procedures.
• Implement security procedures for entire PPP Operations.
• Implement security procedures for entire Property Operation.
• Implement security procedures for security call centers, operations centers, domains, asset classification systems, system acquisition, system development, system maintenance, access control, program models, or reporting tools.
• Support in identifying, investigating, or resolving security breaches
• Assist in monitoring security policies, programs or procedures to ensure compliance with internal security policies, licensing requirements, or applicable government security requirements, policies, and directives.
• Implementation of security standards, policies, and procedures.
• Assist the Security Manager in governmental reviews, internal corporate evaluations, or assessments of the overall effectiveness of the facilities security processes.
• Support in Constantly maintaining / updating the security listing and information related to gate pass / emergency list / personal identification documents (EID, passport, …) and ensure that these documents and / or listing are ready to be deployed at any time when requests is formulated
• Assist with the entry and / or exiting process of all employees and its contractor
• Supervise, monitor and handle ( Staff & vehicles ) gate pass request.
• Maintain a positive and professional relationship with the military and / or government entities deployed on site
• Assist with all requests related to security during pre-event / event / post event modes
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Direct Manager.
