Job summary

SUSHISAMBA Dubai seeks an experienced Assistant Reception Manager to oversee front-of-house, reservations, and guest relations across our dining concepts. You will lead the Reception, Hostess and Reservations teams to ensure exceptional service and a seamless guest journey.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in luxury restaurants, strong knowledge of reservations systems such as SevenRooms, VIP guest management, and a polished presentation aligned with premium hospitality standards.

Responsibilities

We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Reception Manager to oversee the front-of-house reception and reservations operations for our award-winning lifestyle dining concepts, SUSHISAMBA and Signor Sassi. Both venues are renowned for delivering exceptional dining experiences, vibrant atmospheres, and world-class hospitality to an international clientele.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Reception Manager in leading the Reception, Hostess and Reservations team, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and service standards.
• Oversee daily reservations, table allocation, waitlists and seating strategy to maximize covers and support revenue performance.
• Build strong relationships with VIP guests and regular clientele, ensuring preferences and special requests are handled professionally.
• Work closely with Restaurant Management and Operations to ensure smooth service flow, particularly during peak periods.
• Handle guest feedback and complaints, ensuring effective service recovery and guest satisfaction.
• Coach and develop the reception team while maintaining high standards of grooming, presentation and performance.
• Assist with team schedules, shift allocation, reservation reports and guest database management.

Ideal Candidate

• Minimum 2–3 years' experience in luxury restaurants, fine dining or premium lifestyle concepts, ideally as an Assistant Reception Manager, Head Hostess or Reception Supervisor.
• Strong knowledge of SevenRooms or similar reservation systems, including table management and guest profiling.
• Proven experience in high-volume operations, VIP guest management and leading multicultural teams.
• Excellent communication, organization and service recovery skills, with strong commercial awareness.
• Positive, energetic and highly guest-focused with excellent grooming and presentation standards.
• Fluent in English; Italian, Russian, French, Spanish or other languages are an advantage.
