Job Overview

Associate Director - EPMO isresponsible for leading the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO)strategy and overseeing the successful delivery of strategic technologyprograms across the organization. EPMO functionto ensure structured governance, disciplined execution, and alignment of allmajor initiatives with the organization's strategic priorities.

The role ensures that technologyinvestments support business growth, regulatory compliance, operationalefficiency, and digital innovation. Operatingwithin the regulatory framework of the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE), theposition ensures that technology programs comply with applicable regulations,risk frameworks, and cybersecurity standards.

This Role works closely withexecutive leadership and cross-functional departments to drive enterprisetransformation, optimize costs, enhance operational efficiency, and leverageemerging technologies that strengthen the organization's competitive positionwhile reducing manual dependencies.

Key Responsibilities

EnterpriseProgram Governance

• Establish and manage the Enterprise Project Management Office(EPMO) to govern all strategic programs and technology initiatives.


• Develops, implements,and maintains project management methodologies, best practices, benefitsrealization, risk oversight and consistent reporting standards


• Ensure adherence tostrict timelines, quality standards, and project governance practicesacross all strategic initiatives

Regulatory and Compliance Alignment

• Ensuretechnology strategy and program delivery comply with CBUAE regulatoryrequirements, cybersecurity frameworks, and financial sector standards.


• Partner withRisk, Compliance, and Internal Audit teams to ensure technologyinitiatives align with regulatory expectations and risk managementframeworks.


• Maintainstrong governance and documentation to support regulatory audits andcompliance reviews.

StrategicProgram Delivery

• Ensures all programs and projects directly supportthe long-term goals and strategy of the enterprise


• Lead the execution of large-scale enterprisetechnology programs across multiple departments.


• Identifies and manages cross-project dependencies,risks, and trade-offs to ensure successful execution.


• Monitor program progress, riskmitigation, and benefits realization through enterprise dashboards andreporting


• Work closely with business leaders to identifyopportunities for technology-driven transformation.


• Promote cross-departmental collaboration to ensuretechnology solutions address enterprise-wide business needs.


• Align technology initiatives withoperational, financial, and strategic priorities of the organization.

CostOptimization & Operational Efficiency

Ensure efficient utilization of technology budgets,resources and optimize vendor engagements and delivery models.

• Promote solutions that reducemanual workload, improve productivity, and strengthen operationalresilience.

Leadership& Team Development

• Lead and mentor program managers and projectmanagers across locations.


• Build a culture ofaccountability, performance excellence, and innovation within the ProgramManagement Office and technology teams.

Qualification& Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in InformationTechnology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.


• 12-15 years of experience including 5+ years ofexperience in project/program management within financial services,fintech, technology service provider, or regulated industries.


• Experience in managing multi-location technology (onshore & offshore).


• Professional certifications (must): PMP, PgMP, orequivalent.
