Job Overview

Senior Director - EPMO is responsible for leading theEnterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) strategy and overseeing thesuccessful delivery of strategic technology programs across theorganization. EPMO function to ensurestructured governance, disciplined execution, and alignment of all majorinitiatives with the organization’s strategic priorities. The role ensures that technology investments supportbusiness growth, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and digitalinnovation. Operating within theregulatory framework of the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE), the positionensures that technology programs comply with applicable regulations, riskframeworks, and cybersecurity standards. This Role works closely with executive leadership andcross-functional departments to drive enterprise transformation, optimizecosts, enhance operational efficiency, and leverage emerging technologies thatstrengthen the organization’s competitive position while reducing manualdependencies.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Program Governance

Establish and manage the Enterprise Project ManagementOffice (EPMO) to govern all strategic programs and technology initiatives.

Develops, implements, and maintains project managementmethodologies, best practices, benefits realization, risk oversight andconsistent reporting standards

Ensure adherence to strict timelines, quality standards, andproject governance practices across all strategic initiatives.

Regulatory and Compliance Alignment

Ensure technology strategy and program delivery comply withCBUAE regulatory requirements, cybersecurity frameworks, and financial sectorstandards.

Partner with Risk, Compliance, and Internal Audit teams toensure technology initiatives align with regulatory expectations and riskmanagement frameworks.

Maintain strong governance and documentation to supportregulatory audits and compliance reviews.

Strategic Program Delivery

Ensures all programs and projects directly support thelong-term goals and strategy of the enterprise

Lead the execution of large-scale enterprise technologyprograms across multiple departments.

Identifies and manages cross-project dependencies, risks,and trade-offs to ensure successful execution.

Monitor program progress, risk mitigation, and benefitsrealization through enterprise dashboards and reporting.

Enterprise Collaboration

Work closely with business leaders to identify opportunitiesfor technology-driven transformation.

Promote cross-departmental collaboration to ensuretechnology solutions address enterprise-wide business needs.

Align technology initiatives with operational, financial,and strategic priorities of the organization.

Cost Optimization & Operational Efficiency

Ensure efficient utilization of technology budgets,resources and optimize vendor engagements and delivery models.

Promote solutions that reduce manual workload, improveproductivity, and strengthen operational resilience.

Leadership & Team Development

Lead and mentor program managers and project managers acrosslocations.

Build a culture of accountability, performance excellence,and innovation within the Program Management Office and technology teams.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology,Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification preferred.
• 12-15 years of experience including 5+ years of experiencein project/program management within financial services, fintech, technologyservice provider, or regulated industries.
• Proven experience in large-scale program management.
• Experience in managing multi-location technology teams(onshore & offshore).
