Job summary

VerityX Talent is seeking an experienced IT Program Manager to lead and coordinate the delivery of complex technology programs in Abu Dhabi. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in IT, CS, engineering, business administration or related field.
• 10+ years of IT project or program management experience, including large-scale initiatives.
• Proven experience managing complex multi-workstream IT programs or digital transformations.
• Strong knowledge of PM methodologies: Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches.
• Experience in governance, PMO operations, planning, reporting and delivery management.
• Experience budgeting, resourcing, risk management and delivery schedules.
• Strong stakeholder management with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Experience coordinating technical teams, vendors and business stakeholders.
• Familiarity with tools like MS Project, Jira, Azure DevOps or equivalent.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills in English; Arabic fluency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end delivery of complex IT programs across multiple workstreams.
• Develop and maintain integrated program plans with milestones and dependencies.
• Establish and maintain program governance, reporting and change control.
• Engage with senior stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Identify and manage program risks, issues and dependencies; implement mitigations.
• Monitor budgets, resources and overall financial performance.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure delivery.
• Apply Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery frameworks as appropriate.
• Oversee testing, readiness, acceptance criteria and delivery quality.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced IT Program Manager to lead and coordinate the successful delivery of complex technology and digital transformation Programs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT Program management, project delivery, stakeholder engagement, governance, risk management and resource planning. They will be responsible for managing multiple workstreams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and in accordance with agreed business objectives.

The role requires excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills, with proven experience managing cross-functional teams and delivering large-scale technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Program Delivery: Manage end‑to‑end delivery of complex IT Programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, budgets and quality standards.
• Program Planning: Develop and maintain integrated Program plans, including milestones, deliverables, dependencies, resource requirements and critical paths.
• Project Governance and PMO: Establish and maintain Program governance, reporting structures, project documentation, change control and performance monitoring.
• Stakeholder Management: Engage with senior management, business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors and external partners to ensure effective communication and Program alignment.
• Risk and Issue Management: Identify, assess and manage Program risks, issues and dependencies, implementing mitigation plans and escalating critical matters where necessary.
• Budget and Resource Management: Monitor Program budgets, resource allocation, expenditure and overall financial performance.
• Team Leadership: Coordinate and manage multiple project teams and workstreams, ensuring accountability, collaboration and delivery against agreed objectives.
• Agile and Waterfall Delivery: Apply appropriate project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery frameworks.
• Quality Assurance: Oversee testing, implementation readiness, acceptance criteria and delivery quality across Program activities.
• Reporting and Performance Management: Prepare Program status reports, KPI dashboards, steering committee updates and executive presentations.
• Change Management: Support organisational change, stakeholder adoption, training and transition activities associated with Program delivery.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve Program delivery processes, operational efficiency and project management practices.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in IT project or Program management, including responsibility for large-scale technology initiatives.
• Proven experience managing complex, multi-workstream IT Programs or digital transformation projects.
• Strong knowledge of Program and project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall and hybrid approaches.
• Demonstrated experience in Program governance, PMO operations, planning, reporting and delivery management.
• Experience managing project budgets, resources, risks, dependencies and delivery schedules.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience engaging senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Experience coordinating technical teams, external vendors and business stakeholders.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Azure DevOps or equivalent.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organisational and decision-making skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Fluency in Arabic is mandatory

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP or SAFe.
• Experience delivering technology transformation Programs within government, financial services or other large enterprise environments.
• Exposure to data management, data platforms, analytics, cloud technologies or enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with IT governance, information security, regulatory compliance and enterprise technology environments.
• Experience managing Programs involving multiple vendors, systems integration or organisational transformation.
