Role Description

The Architect Draftsman role at GM STONE is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai. The Architect Draftsman will prepare detailed architectural drawings and shop drawings for stone applications, including facades, flooring, cladding, and custom elements, in line with project specifications and local regulations. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with architects, engineers, and project managers, translating design concepts into accurate technical plans, and ensuring seamless integration of stone details into overall architectural designs. The role involves reviewing project requirements, updating drawings based on feedback, maintaining organized documentation, and supporting site teams with clear, precise plans. The Architect Draftsman will also collaborate with production and installation teams to optimize material usage, resolve technical issues, and contribute to timely, high-quality project delivery.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Architecture and Architectural Design for preparing detailed plans and stone layouts.
• Candidates should possess skills in Software Development and Integration as they relate to using CAD/BIM or similar software tools efficiently.
• Candidates should possess Project Management skills to coordinate drawings, deadlines, and communication across multiple stakeholders.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Auto CAD), and familiarity with BIM tools (e.g., Revit) or equivalent drafting platforms.
• Experience in architectural drafting for stone, marble, or other façade and interior finishes is highly beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail, spatial awareness, and ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings accurately.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams on-site.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a closely related field.
• Knowledge of local building codes and standards in Dubai or willingness to learn and adapt quickly.
