Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Draftsman role located in Dubai. The Draftsman will prepare detailed drawings, shop drawings, and layouts for terrazzo and flooring projects using CAD and other drafting tools. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting architectural and structural plans, coordinating with project managers and site teams to clarify design requirements, and ensuring drawings comply with project specifications and local standards. The role involves revising drawings based on feedback, maintaining accurate documentation and drawing registers, and supporting quantity take-offs and material estimates. The Draftsman will also assist in resolving design-related issues during execution and contribute to efficient project planning.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Auto CAD) and other drafting tools, with strong skills in preparing detailed technical drawings and layouts.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings, and translate them into precise shop drawings for terrazzo and flooring works.
• Knowledge of construction standards, building codes, and best practices relevant to interior finishes and flooring projects.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy in dimensions, and capability to perform basic quantity take-offs and material calculations.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for coordinating with engineers, architects, and site teams, and managing revisions in a timely manner.
• Good organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple drawing packages and maintain clear documentation under project deadlines.
• Relevant technical diploma or degree in Drafting, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Previous experience as a Draftsman in construction or interior fit-out; experience with terrazzo or flooring projects is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office or similar tools for documentation, reports, and basic project coordination.
