Job summary

Kempinski Hotels in Dubai seeks an experienced Arabic Chef De Partie (Breakfast) to oversee Arabic breakfast operations, prepare authentic Middle Eastern dishes, and supervise junior chefs to ensure high-quality, high-speed service. The role requires at least 3 years in a five-star international chain hotel, strong Arabic cooking knowledge, and leadership abilities.

Arabic-speaking candidates with excellent communication are preferred, with a focus on guest interaction and cost-conscious kitchen

Qualifications

At least 3 years in a five star international chain hotel
Good knowledge of Arabic cuisine (cold and hot)
Should understand how to read recipes and have a good knowledge of cooking
Good communication skills and Arabic-speaking

Responsibilities

Prepare in advance food, beverage, material and equipment needed for the service.
Cook and serve dishes according to the restaurant's menu.
Monitor and order ingredients, supplies and equipment
Provide direction to the Kitchen helpers, including Commis, Cooks, Kitchen Attendants and Stewards.
Clean and re-set their working area.
Conduct on-the-job training following departmental standards and record progress for staff.
Recycle where possible and enforce cost saving measures.
Maintain a hygienic kitchen and high standards of personal hygiene.
Attend all briefing
Prepare kitchen equipment for use.
Assemble and prepare ingredients for menu items.
Prepare simple food items - mis-en-place
Assist with checking, receiving and storing of goods.
Maintain storage areas.
