Job summary

Hyatt Centric Jumeirah Dubai is seeking a passionate Demi Chef de Partie - Arabic Cuisine to join our Culinary team. You will prepare authentic Arabic dishes, maintain Hyatt standards of quality and hygiene, and support the daily kitchen operations.

You will contribute to menu development and work with a skilled team to deliver exceptional dining experiences reflecting rich Arabic flavors in a fast-paced luxury hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Commis Chef or Demi Chef de Partie within Arabic cuisine in a hotel or reputable restaurant environment.
• Strong knowledge of traditional and contemporary Arabic cooking techniques and ingredients.
• Experience in preparing Arabic hot and cold mezze, grills, regional specialties, breads, and desserts.
• Understanding of food safety, HACCP, and kitchen hygiene standards.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present high-quality Arabic dishes in accordance with Hyatt standards and recipes.
• Support the Chef de Partie in the day-to-day operation of the assigned kitchen section.
• Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, portioning, and presentation.
• Maintain proper mise en place and ensure all food preparation is completed efficiently.
• Monitor food stock levels and assist with requisitions and inventory management.
• Follow HACCP, food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards at all times.
• Ensure the proper handling, storage, and rotation of food products.
• Support training and development of junior kitchen colleagues and commis chefs.
• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve operational goals and guest satisfaction.
• Participate in menu development and contribute creative ideas for Arabic cuisine offerings.
