Job summary

Dicetek in the UAE is actively seeking a seasoned API Platform Engineer to design, secure, and scale enterprise API gateways and banking service domains. You will work with Kong, Apigee, Azure API Management and OpenAPI/AsyncAPI specs, ensuring secure, scalable microservices in a cloud-native environment.

The role requires 5+ years in API platform engineering, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and IaC/CI/CD expertise, with immediate UAE on-site availability.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline.
5+ years of progressive professional experience in software engineering and API/platform engineering.
Hands-on expertise in enterprise API management platforms (Kong, Apigee, Azure).
Knowledge of banking API architectures, BIAN standards, and digital banking transformations.
OpenAPI/AsyncAPI/Swagger, RESTful design principles.
Security: OAuth, OIDC, JWT, and mTLS.
Kubernetes/OpenShift, IaC, and CI/CD experience.

Responsibilities

Design, architect, develop, configure, and manage enterprise API gateways using Kong, Apigee, or Azure API Management.
Implement banking API architectures aligned with BIAN standards and digital banking transformation roadmaps.
Publish and maintain OpenAPI and AsyncAPI specifications for standardized microservices integration.
Secure API ecosystems with OAuth 2.0 and OIDC protocols.
Provision, configure, and scale Kubernetes and OpenShift deployments.
Build, monitor, and optimize automated CI/CD pipelines and Git workflows.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) provisioning for API infrastructure and cloud-native environments.
Integrate AI tooling to accelerate API development and testing.
