Job summary

Unity Infotech Solutions LLC in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced API Platform Engineer to manage enterprise API platforms for digital banking and financial services. The role covers gateway administration, security implementation, and lifecycle management across channels and partner integrations.

The candidate will drive API security, OpenAPI/BIAN alignment, and IaC-driven automation, working with architecture, development and infra teams to deliver reliable, scalable API services.

Qualifications

• 6-10+ years of experience in banking API management.
• Experience in core or digital banking transformation.
• Working knowledge of BIAN APIs and banking service domains.
• Hands-on with Kong, Apigee or Azure API Management.
• Strong knowledge of OpenAPI, AsyncAPI, OAuth 2.0, OIDC and JWT.
• Knowledge of mutual TLS (mTLS) and API security policies.
• Experience with Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Git, CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
• Experience in API lifecycle management, monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools.

Responsibilities

• Administer API gateways and developer portals.
• Onboard and publish modular banking APIs aligned with standards.
• Implement API security mechanisms and access policies.
• Manage API versions, products, subscriptions and lifecycle.
• Monitor, observe, analyze, throttle and monetize APIs where applicable.
• Automate platform configuration and deployment via CI/CD and IaC.
• Troubleshoot API integration, connectivity, performance and security.
• Maintain API policies, docs and SOPs.
• Collaborate with architecture, development, security and infra teams.
• Support open banking initiatives and external partner integrations.
