Job summary

AECOM Middle East Limited - AL AIN seeks a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor in Al Ain, UAE to manage project costs, control expenditures, and ensure financial certainty through the project lifecycle on-site.

You will collaborate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver value, prepare cost reports, and support claims with strong knowledge of contracts, bills of quantities, and risk-based cost management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Quantity Surveying or related field; RICS registration preferred.
• Experience in cost control, cost management, and financial analysis in infrastructure projects.
• Proficient with cost planning tools, tender management, and post-contract valuations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and control project expenditures on behalf of the contracting entity, ensuring payments comply with contracts and schedules.
• Develop, implement, and maintain cost management strategies aligned with industry best practices.
• Monitor and forecast final project costs, review and approve cost forecasts for budget adherence.
• Oversee management of variations, amendments and cashflow forecasting.
• Review and approve monthly post-contract valuations, cost reports, variation orders, and final accounts.
• Prepare and analyze cost reports for stakeholders with clear financial status.
• Support the team in responding to contractor claims and disputes with contract-aware guidance.
• Review schedules of rates and BOQs to support pre-tender estimates and budgets.
• Collaborate with supply chain, contractors, consultants, and suppliers for value-for-money procurement.
