Job summary

Want More is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor in Al Ain, UAE, to estimate and manage costs on construction projects. You will prepare budgets, monitor expenses, review contracts, and ensure projects stay within approved costs.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, has at least 3 years' experience, strong knowledge of materials and processes, and proficiently uses MS Excel and AutoCAD. Excellent communication and negotiation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes.
• Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand technical drawings.
• Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD, or other quantity surveying tools.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
• Monitor project progress and expenses, identifying potential cost overruns.
• Review and negotiate contracts with suppliers and contractors.
• Evaluate and approve change orders to ensure costs stay within budget.
• Conduct site visits to assess progress and identify issues.
• Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure project success.
• Keep accurate records of all financial transactions related to the project.
• Provide regular updates on project costs to management.
