Responsibilities

• Stack passenger luggage securely inside the narrow belly of the aircraft to maintain balance.
• Guide the motorized belt machines safely up to the airplane cargo door using standard aviation ground hand signals.
• Remove transit bags from arriving flights quickly to protect passenger belongings.
• Check the wheels and steering of the luggage carts every morning before driving them toward the main terminal building.

Daily Airport Tasks:

• Stack passenger luggage securely inside the narrow belly of the aircraft so the cargo weight remains perfectly balanced during the flight.
• Guide the motorized belt machines safely up to the airplane cargo door using standard aviation ground hand signals.
• Remove transit bags from arriving flights rapidly to ensure connecting international passengers do not lose their personal belongings.
• Check the wheels and steering of the luggage carts every morning before driving them toward the main terminal building.

Rules for Selection:

• Physical Stamina: Lifting heavy bags inside a cramped airplane cargo hold requires excellent back strength and general fitness.
• Weather Tolerance: Working outdoors on the concrete runway means facing very high summer temperatures and noisy jet blasts daily.
• Safety Focus: Strictly following aviation ground rules to avoid walking into highly dangerous zones near active aircraft engines.
