Job description

Zayed International Airport requires sharp and attentive Baggage X-Ray Screeners to monitor luggage tunnels and prevent unsafe materials from entering the departure gates.

Daily Terminal Tasks:

• Operate advanced security imaging machines to inspect backpacks, suitcases, and cargo boxes as they pass on the belt.
• Manually search suspicious luggage while following polite and respectful communication protocols with traveling passengers.
• Confiscate banned items like oversized liquids, scissors, or tools and document them in the daily incident logbook.
• Direct clear bags through the fast lane and immediately alert floor supervisors if a major security threat is detected.

Rules for Selection:

• Observation Skills: You must have perfect color vision to distinguish between organic and inorganic materials on the scanner screen.
• Knowledge: Holding a basic aviation security or guarding certificate is a very strong advantage.
• Clearance: A completely clean police record is required to enter the restricted airside zones.
