Job summary

Sampo Pricing in Dubai is seeking a retail pricing expert to lead pricing strategy and help customers maximize value from our AI-powered platform.

You will review AI-generated pricing recommendations, build vertical playbooks and collaborate with product and data science to translate judgment into features and test cases. English is required; Arabic is a strong plus.

You will work with GCC retailers across electronics, beauty and FMCG, shaping pricing rules and guardrails for real-world scenarios.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in retail or e-commerce pricing, category management or revenue management.
• Hands-on experience setting prices across large assortments, not only analysing them.
• Strong commercial judgement: you know when to follow a competitor and when not to.
• Comfortable with data (Excel/Sheets at minimum; SQL or Python is a plus).
• Able to explain your reasoning clearly and precisely, in writing, to engineers and data scientists.
• English required; Arabic a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Define the pricing strategies, rules and guardrails our engine should support, and how they should behave in real retail situations
• Review AI-generated pricing recommendations, judge which are right or wrong, and explain why, so we can train and evaluate the models
• Build pricing playbooks by vertical and scenario: promotions, competitor stockouts, expiring stock, price wars, new product launches
• Work with product and data science to turn your judgment into features, logic and test cases
• Define how we measure pricing impact and spot where the engine falls short
• Help customers set pricing objectives and configure the right strategies
• Join selected calls with key accounts to review results and advise on pricing decisions
• Bring what you learn from customers back into the product
