Job summary

Capital.com is seeking a Senior Operations Manager - AI Automation to lead how we apply AI and automation across Operations, including Customer Support and FinCrime. You will own the automation roadmap, prioritise opportunities, and build/validate automations with cross-functional teams while ensuring governance and human oversight.

You will redesign processes so AI handles routine tasks, fixed rules cover predictable outcomes, and people retain decision-making when needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in operations, process excellence, automation or a similar field.
• Hands-on experience building and launching AI and automation in live operations, with measurable results.
• Ability to size opportunities and turn them into a prioritised roadmap.
• Experience redesigning processes with operational teams and control owners in a regulated or control-heavy environment.
• Experience testing AI workflows and designing human review and exception handling.
• Experience working with Product and Engineering, and managing direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Own the automation roadmap and drive share of automated tasks across Operations.
• Identify opportunities by analyzing time loss, errors, or repetition and prioritise with measurable value.
• Redesign processes with users and control owners; decide where AI adds value and where rules or human judgment apply.
• Build prototypes and working automations; collaborate with Product and Engineering on integrations and production support.
• Test automations under real conditions and establish data, permissions, and controls with fallback plans.
• Lead rollout with managers and support teams through adoption; monitor usage and benefits.
