Job summary

QuantaSim is seeking a senior CFD consultant with a strong aerospace background to lead technical scoping, execution, and client-facing engagements. You will perform CFD simulations for external aerodynamics, turbulence, heat transfer, and icing analyses, primarily using ANSYS Fluent and FENSAP-ICE, while delivering high-quality reports and training.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD in Aerospace Engineering, with a strong aerospace/aerodynamics background.
• 5+ years of hands-on CFD experience, incl. significant aerospace project experience; customer-facing consulting or engineering services preferred.
• Strong foundation in aerodynamics, compressible flow, turbulence, heat transfer and multiphase models.
• In-depth knowledge of aerospace fundamentals including external aerodynamics, flight mechanics, stability analysis and aeroelasticity.
• Hands-on experience with ANSYS Fluent, including turbulence and multiphase modeling.
• Hands-on experience with Ansys FENSAP-ICE (or LEWICE) and icing physics; ability to rapidly learn new simulation technologies.
• Exposure to Ansys System Coupling/Mechanical for FSI workflows is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical scoping and proposal preparation, including technical approach and cost estimates.
• Own end-to-end consulting project execution; define work plan, milestones, and ensure quality delivery.
• Provide expert CFD consultation for aerospace applications and conduct simulations.
• Lead aircraft icing simulations using FENSAP-ICE and analyze ice shapes and thermal effects.
• Prepare technical reports and present findings and recommendations to customers.
• Conduct online and onsite training for customers and develop training materials.
