Job summary

EDGE is seeking an Assembly Tool Design Engineer based in Abu Dhabi to design and support assembly tooling, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and production aids for advanced manufacturing. You will create 3D models and 2D drawings, perform tolerance analyses, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and productivity.

The role supports new product introduction and continuous improvement, requiring 5+ years in tooling design and strong CAD skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical/aerospace/manufacturing engineering or related field.
Minimum 5 years of tooling or fixture design experience in manufacturing.
Proficiency in 3D CAD software and 2D drawings.

Responsibilities

Design and develop assembly tools, jigs, fixtures, templates, and gauges to support manufacturing operations.
Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software (CATIA, NX, SolidWorks, Creo).
Perform tolerance analysis and ensure tooling meets dimensional and functional requirements.
Collaborate with manufacturing, production, quality, and engineering teams on assembly needs.
Support NPI and industrialization activities; prepare BOMs and specs.
Coordinate with tool manufacturers and suppliers during fabrication and qualification.
Conduct tooling trials, validation, and acceptance testing.
Investigate production issues and implement tooling improvements for efficiency and quality.
