Job summary

Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation in Dubai seeks an Accounts Payable and Fixed Assets specialist to manage supplier invoices, payments, and asset registers. You will ensure timely processing and accurate recording of liabilities and asset transactions within a robust control environment.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting and preferred professional qualifications (CPA/CA/CIMA/ACCA).

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ experience in accounts payable or a related finance function.
• Experience in using ERP systems and financial software to support AP and fixed asset transactions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process supplier invoices accurately and within established timelines.
• Record and process payments to suppliers and service providers.
• Reconcile accounts payable ledgers against supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Support acquisition and capitalisation of fixed assets and maintain fixed asset register.
• Implement asset tagging and inventory controls; manage petty cash transactions.
• Prepare periodic and ad hoc reports on accounts payable and fixed assets; ensure compliance with policies.
• Support internal and external audits with required documentation and records.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline

CPA/CA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent professional certification
