Job summary

Hire Rightt - Executive Search & HR Advisory is seeking a Senior Accountant – Accounts Payable in the UAE. The role handles end-to-end AP processes, invoicing, and payments, with emphasis on accuracy, multi-currency invoices, and compliance with UAE VAT/FTA requirements.

Strong ERP experience, especially Epicor, and a proven reconciliation track record are essential. The ideal candidate holds a relevant degree, 8–10 years in AP, UAE experience, and professional certifications are advantageous

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce; MBA in Finance is an advantage.
• 8–10 years of Accounts Payable experience with complex invoice processing.
• UAE experience required; Oil & Gas or services sector experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and FTA tax invoice compliance.
• Strong Excel and ERP skills; Epicor ERP experience preferred.
• ACCA, CMA, CPA or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
• Strong reconciliation, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable activities including invoice processing and supplier payments.
• Review invoices, cost allocations, PO splits, and supporting documents for accuracy.
• Handle complex invoices including multi-currency, freight, rentals, and shipping documentation.
• Reconcile supplier statements, advances, and AP clearing accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Support month-end closing activities including accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.
• Ensure AP documentation and invoices comply with UAE VAT and FTA requirements.
• Manage the AP invoice mailbox and ensure timely processing and follow-up.
