Who are we?

ALEC Holdings PJSC, part of the Investment Corporation of ICD (ICD), is a leading GCC construction group with over two decades of success delivering some of the region’s most complex and high-profile projects. As a proudly publicly listed company, ALEC continues to raise the bar for quality, innovation, and excellence in construction, driving iconic developments that shape skylines across the Middle East.

In the UAE, ALEC has delivered many of the nation’s most iconic developments, operating as a fully integrated contractor through specialist business units that provide end-to-end construction solutions.

ALEC provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and shared services that support the performance and growth of all businesses within the Group. From governance, finance, and talent to innovation, digital systems, and sustainability, the Head Office acts as the central hub that enables each business unit to deliver with confidence, consistency, and excellence across the construction and engineering value chain.

Why Join Us?

As a Senior Accountant at ALEC, you will play a vital role in overseeing financial governance, month-end and year-end close processes, reporting, and statutory compliance across our major entities and projects. In this role, you will manage entity-level P&Ls and balance sheets, ensure strict compliance with IFRS, perform detailed account reconciliations, and establish strong balance sheet controls to deliver precise, timely financial insights to management. Combining technical accounting expertise with a practical understanding of business operations, particularly within contract-driven, inventory, and cost-heavy environments, your expertise will ensure sound internal controls, seamless collaboration between operational sites and Head Office Finance, and maximum financial integrity. At ALEC, we are about more than just building iconic structures; we are about building exceptional careers, and by joining our team, you will make a tangible impact by safeguarding our financial health, optimizing cash flow processes, and upholding the highest standards of financial management.

About Your Team

Our Finance & Accounting team plays a critical role in supporting a sustainable, compliant, and fiscally sound organization. Working closely with Commercial Management, Procurement, Site Operations, Internal Audit, and Corporate Finance, the team ensures financial clarity, precise forecasting, and regulatory compliance.

  • Assess accounting treatment for complex or unusual transactions and ensure appropriate recognition, measurement and disclosure.
  • Support the implementation of new accounting standards and changes in accounting policies.
  • Prepare technical accounting assessments and supporting documentation where required.
  • Liaise with auditors and provide appropriate schedules, reconciliations and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure audit queries are resolved accurately and within agreed deadlines.
Contracts

  • Assist with revenue recognition assessments and contract accounting, particularly within construction or project-based environments.
Inventory & Cost Accounting
  • Review and monitor inventory accounting and valuation where applicable.
  • Ensure appropriate accounting for raw materials, work-in-progress and finished goods.
  • Review inventory provisions, slow-moving and obsolete inventory.
  • Reconcile inventory sub-ledgers to the general ledger and investigate discrepancies.
  • Support cost accounting activities and analysis where required.
  • Understanding of manufacturing cost structures, product costing and cost allocation will be advantageous.
