Job summary

Fisher in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations for our hospitality venues. You will handle AP/AR, supervise stock, and ensure accurate financial records for timely reporting.

The role requires strong cost control, VAT knowledge, and proficiency with Excel and accounting software. UAE accounting experience is preferred, with a hands-on approach to month-end activities and reconciliations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Accountant in F&B/hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, stock reconciliation, and cost control.
• Hands-on with AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and supplier reconciliations.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and filing procedures.
• Proficient in Excel and accounting software.
• UAE accounting experience preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Monitor and reconcile stock, inventory movements, and inventory valuations.
• Handle food cost calculations, cost control, and variance analysis.
• Prepare and process supplier reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and account statements.
• Assist with UAE VAT calculations, returns, and filing in compliance with applicable regulations.
• Maintain accurate financial records, invoices, receipts, and supporting documentation.
• Monitor expenses and identify discrepancies in stock, costs, and financial transactions.
• Prepare accounting reports and assist with month-end closing activities.
• Use Microsoft Excel and accounting software to maintain financial data and generate reports.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Accountant within restaurants, bars, cafés, hotels, or other F&B / hospitality operations.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, stock reconciliation, food costing, and cost control.
• Hands-on experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bank reconciliation, and supplier reconciliation.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and filing procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills.
• UAE accounting experience is preferred.
