Job summary

Daikan Hospitality Group is seeking a Chief Accountant to oversee day-to-day accounting for the FZCO entity and all outlets. You will manage the general ledger, closing, reconciliations, and internal controls while supporting budgeting and audits.

The role partners with Operations, HR, and Purchasing to deliver reliable outlet-level financial insights. Responsibilities include IFRS-compliant reporting, statutory and internal reporting, and strengthening finance processes across outlets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce is required.
• Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CMA or CA) is preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a senior/supervisory role; hospitality or multi-outlet experience preferred.
• Solid UAE experience including VAT, Corporate Tax and FZCO reporting.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, month-end close, reconciliations and financial statement prep.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems and restaurant POS reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills and high attention to detail with confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under IFRS and outlet-level P&Ls and budgets.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing, journal entries, accruals, provisions, depreciation, and general ledger accuracy.
• Oversee bank, cash, POS, card, delivery platform, intercompany, supplier, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, payments, cashflow, payroll accounting, UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance.
• Maintain accounting systems, supervise staff, manage inventory and fixed assets, update SOPs, and ensure audit-ready records.

Reporting to the Head of Finance,the role manages the general ledger, financial reporting,month-endclose, reconciliations, payables, receivables, cashflow, and internal controls. The role also supports budgeting, cost control, audits, and UAE tax compliance while working closely with Operations, HR, and Purchasing to deliver reliable outlet-level financial insights.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and year-end closing,journal entries,accruals,provisions,depreciation,and generalled geraccuracy.

• Strong knowledge of IFRS, month-end close, reconciliations and financial statement preparation
• Hands-on experience with accounting ERP systems (for example Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, SAP, Odoo, Tally or Zoho Books) and restaurant POS reporting
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, financial models)
• High attention to detail, integrity and confidentiality, with the ability to meet tight deadlines
• Excellent written and spoken English and clear communication with non-finance teams
