Job summary

mbo general trading is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support the finance team with day-to-day accounting tasks in Dubai. The role requires 1-3 years of relevant experience in trading or contracting environments and a solid grasp of AP/AR and bank reconciliations.

You will assist with journal entries, inventory cost accounting, and financial reporting, while collaborating with procurement, sales, and operations teams to ensure accurate documentation and timely financial processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in trading or contracting companies.
• Strong knowledge of AP/AR and bank reconciliation processes.
• Proficient in Excel and accounting systems such as QuickBooks and Odoo.
• Good command of English and Arabic.

Responsibilities

• Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely recording of invoices and payments.
• Perform bank reconciliations, monitor transactions, and maintain accurate cash flow records.
• Prepare and process journal entries, petty cash reimbursements, and expense reports.
• Maintain proper documentation of receipts, invoices, payment vouchers, and related financial records.
• Manage inventory accounting, stock movement entries, and cost allocations (especially in trading/contracting setups).
• Use accounting software for day-to-day financial entries and reporting.
• Support in monthly closing activities, financial reports, and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with procurement, sales, and operations teams for invoice clarifications and financial documentation.
• Ensure a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all accounting tasks.
