Job summary

A leading recruitment firm in the UAE is seeking an Accountant to manage cash collections, VAT reconciliation, and month-end closings. The ideal candidate is a female with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting, aged 35 or below, and has at least 2 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in VAT and MS Excel is required. This role is based in Sharjah, offering a salary of up to 8,500 AED depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and assists on weekly cash collection and transactions.
• Handles Government Cost entries and reconciles related costs.
• Reconciles VAT Ledgers at month-end and assists with VAT Returns.
• Prepares month-end closing journal entries and reconciles accounts.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and assists on weekly cash collection, deposit and credit card transaction and verifying and signing off the document.
• Handles the Government Cost entries and reconciliation of the related costs with the AMWAL accounts.
• Reconciles VAT Ledgers at month-end and assist with the preparation of VAT Returns at the time of filing.
• Prepares and posts month-end closing journal entries. And reconciles bank and cash accounts.

Qualifications

• Female, 35 years old or below
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting with at least 2 years of relevant experience
• Proficient in VAT, Tax Computations, Accounts Payable & Receivable, and Zoho Books
• Strong skills in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
