Job summary
Client of AIQU is seeking an experienced Local Project Manager in Abu Dhabi to lead oil & gas automation and commissioning projects. You will plan, execute and deliver complex programs with strong technical discipline and local market knowledge, ensuring safety, schedule adherence and cost control.
The role requires 8–10 years of proven PM experience, PMP/Prince2 or equivalent certification, and a solid grasp of control systems, instrumentation and commissioning processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
- 8–10 years of proven project management experience in oil & gas automation and commissioning.
- PMP, Prince2 or equivalent certification; ISO 9001/ISO 14001/OHSAS 18001 familiarity.
- Arabic language proficiency; HSE management or Lead Auditor certification.
Responsibilities
- Define project scope objectives and deliverables with stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules and budgets aligned with goals.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams through all phases from design to commissioning.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, vendors and regulators for approvals.
- Monitor performance, identify risks and implement mitigations.
- Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi regulations, standards and HSE.
- Conduct regular site visits to oversee progress and safety.
- Prepare status reports, forecasts and post-project evaluations for senior management.
